That is if a source on Twitter is to be believed. Usually, Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel Guide is pretty on the money with predictions, and this does come from a pretty official source, but it’ll still be worth taking this with a grain of salt.

What Is In The Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel New Packs?

As the above tweet states:

Try your hand at the ‘Floowandereeze’, an archetype that will lead you onto the path of victory with their tribute summoning mechanics which relies less on Special Summons! Open up a wide range of plays by bringing out ‘Adventurer Tokens’ with ‘Rite Of Aramesir’ and unleashing their potential with an exciting range of brand new cards! New cards for the ‘Magikey’, ‘Gunkan’, ‘Machina’ and ‘Evil Twin’ archetypes are also here!”

It’s worth noting that both Floowandereeze and the Adventure Engine have been threats in the competitive scene of Yu-Gi-Oh for quite a while now.

While Floowandereeze is less of a competitive threat than perhaps some players thought it would be, it still shows up in tournament brackets fairly often. The real kicker however is the Adventure Engine.

The Adventure Engine has been a staple in basically every single deck since it was released, hitting massive prices for the physical card itself.

With the Adventure Engine in play you’re able to consistently and constantly put at least one disruption (negate) on the board to stop your opponent’s plays, and the equip spell for the archetype ‘Dracoback, The Rideable Dragon’, is a non-targeting removal spell that sends a card back to your opponent’s hands.

It’s likely that the Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel meta will shift considerably when these cards release. But when exactly is that?

The new Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel packs are currently, according to the Google Play Events page, scheduled to drop on Monday 11th July.

This also tracks with another pack inside Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel itself that is listed as ending on Monday as well, so Konami will likely be looking to replace that hole in the market as soon as possible.

The packs will become available across every platform that the game is available on meaning they’ll be on PC, Mobile, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
