James Gunn’s Marvel franchise Guardians of the Galaxy will release its threequel next year with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which will see the gang of misfit members in Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, Groot and Mantis go on a new adventure in space.
Along with the returning cast members, the roster will see a new addition in the form of Marvel icon Adam Warlock, who will be making his first live-action appearance in the MCU.
The powerful Marvel character will be played by Hollywood actor Will Poulter, who was announced by Gunn and crew last year. Poulter has talked about the character in recent interviews, without revealing much about it.
However, the actor recently mentioned that he auditioned for Marvel Studios without knowing that he was trying for the part of Adam Warlock.
Poulter mentioned how he initially auditioned blind for Marvel Studios during his interview with The Playlist.
He further talked about how the world created by James Gunn created for Guardians of the Galaxy attracted him, while detailing his fun experience of working with the other cast members.
Fans will be able to see Poulter’s portrayal of Adam Warlock, when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will release in theatres around the world on May 5, 2023.
