More towards the low end it might not cost you a fortune the 4070 retailers are here
In another part of the initial RTX 4000 series lineup, we find where to buy RTX 4070. A possibly more affordable card that is still capable of good performance following its model number.
So if you’re looking for your next best graphics card then here is a handy list of where you will likely be able to find one. Especially handy for what we’ve seen with previous releases.
As with the RTX 30 series release, we saw the shortage issue. Where the pandemic disrupted production and shipping. And along with everyone now wanting a PC, there was a lot of demand.
However, the crypto market was also booming. So miners and then scalpers both took advantage of the situation. But more recently the market has been returning to normal.
With GPU pricing returning to MSRP and plenty of stock it gives hope for the next generation. We can hope there will be enough for everyone, which Nvidia expects with it trying to reduce its silicon order.
According to some sources, the release date is all over the place at the moment. Initially, there was a rumor of an announcement coming in early Q3.
However, with the excess stock, Nvidia will be wanting to sell it off. And so it will need more time to do so before the next generation.
With that, the next supposed RTX 4070 release date is for November 2022. Although some more suggestions state it could be pushed into the next year 2023.
Price is one of the last things to be established for a graphics card. There can be a lot of variation and no actual decision right until the announcement.
So we look back at previous iterations to see the trend that is followed. With that, we can speculate on what to expect from the 4070.
With that, we see that the RTX 3070 had an MSRP of $499 USD. The RTX 2070 was previously launched at $499 USD. Whilst the GTX 1070 came at $379 USD, and the GTX 970 at $329 USD.
So with the potential for any inflation and price increases, we extrapolate into the cost. Which we expect to be in the range of $499-$649 USD.
