FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 kicks off in just over a month (November 20) and smartphone maker vivo (as the official smartphone partner for the event) has cooked up several ways for fans to engage with the championship, the brand and win official gifts along the way.
The campaign is called #vivoGiveItaShot and is already underway – “wave 1” asks fans to post photos or videos that combine football and vivo elements to Instagram. You can post as many as you want, so go wild (just don’t forget to use the hashtag).
The 10 most creative participants will win a vivo smartphone and an official FIFA football (check out the terms & conditions here). The first wave will run until November 16.
Wave 2 starts a couple of days before that on November 14 and ends on December 31. This wave will be focused on TikTok, which will feature a special vivo filter that fans can use to share and celebrate special moments.
In addition to the online activities, there will be offline challenges too, so fans around the world can experience some of the excitement even if they can’t attend the World Cup.
If you just want to chat, vivo will host online conversations using the #vAreHereToShare hashtag in December leading up to the final match of the Cup.
vivo has been a FIFA sponsor since 2017 and it has already supported the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017, the FIFA World Cup 2018 and the FIFA Arab Cup 2021. The vivo X Fold+ will be featured heavily during the upcoming event, appearing during the preparation and staging of the matches.
