What do we know about the game? How much is it changing from the original game? How much will the game cost? We’re here to answer all of these and more, so stay on your toes and avoid the infected with us.
The Last Of Us Part One Release Date
The Last Of Us Part One is currently scheduled for release on September 2, 2022. It’ll be a PS5 exclusive initially, but a PC version is planned for soon after the game launches on PS5.
Since the game itself is launching so soon, and there are so few opportunities left for Naughty Dog to show off their work, we can probably expect to see more of the game at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2022.
The above trailer shows nothing substantial in terms of gameplay, so it’s possible that the gameplay itself hasn’t really changed that much from the original game.
What we do know is that the game has gone gold (an industry term for a game being ready to ship), so whatever changes Naughty Dog wanted to make, they’ve already made.

From the lighting to the actual characters themselves, Naughty Dog has decided to go with the style they used in The Last Of Us Part Two onwards so that the two games can be played as part of one cohesive narrative without adjusting to a visual change.
While they have also changed character models and made it so that they look like the ages that the characters are supposed to be, they also want this world to feel as lived in as they originally intended.
