There are even some PvP modes, featuring the usual Sniper Elite PvP gameplay and all-new Invasion modes. We will go through and explain each Sniper Elite coop and multiplayer mode in detail.

There are two ways to play Sniper Elite 5 in coop. The first is through a coop campaign, which allows two players to go and complete map objectives and more. You can experience the game’s nine levels together, following the story and taking on the main mission as you experience the prelude to the Normandy campaign. In fact, Rebellion recently showed off a Sniper Elite 5 coop campaign gameplay deep dive. It featured the usual two players exploring the map, picking enemies in sync, and the craziness that unfolds when one of you gets spotted.
On the other hand, you can play the survival mode in either colo or coop. The survival mode is like other survival modes from previous Sniper Elite titles and the Nazi Zombie spinoffs. You take on waves of enemies on different maps. The ultimate goal is to survive them, so, get your strategies and loadouts ready with your friends and hold out together. The best thing is the survival mode features four-player coop lobbies.
If you’re interested in the PvP side of the game, then you’ll be pleased to know there are two modes. The first is the regular multiplayer PvP experience featuring 16 player lobbies. The aim of the game is to take out as many enemies as possible and become the apex sniper of the server.
As it stands, there are four different modes you can queue into. The first is the standard FFA PvP experience. The second is team play, which separates the game into two teams of eight, while Squad Match turns it into four teams of four. There’s also the no cross mode, which has players join two teams, with the added rule that you cannot cross certain sections of the maps. It’s more about picking enemies off from either side of the map rather than the stealth version present in the other multiplayer modes.
In addition, you can also change the settings if you host a game. You can opt for a kill based scoreboard, or a mode which awards points for kill distance. So, there are new ways to play the multiplayer game if you so wish.
Lastly, there is a brand new multiplayer Sniper Elite 5 gamemode. The new mode is Axis invasions, which allows a player to invade another player’s save and try to beat Karl. It means the campaign player will have to complete the secondary and main objectives as normal, except for the knowledge another axis sniper is controlled by a player and is hunting you down. This is a brand new mode in Sniper Elite 5 and one worth experimenting with.
