The stylish beat ’em up that became a cult classic is finally going live next month. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game Complete Edition is out on Jan. 14, 2021, according to a post on the Scott Pilgrim Facebook page.

Ubisoft announced the new version of the comic-based brawler earlier this year during an Ubisoft Forward stream, 10 years after it first launched on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Originally set for the holidays, it looks like Scott Pilgrim has bled over into the new year, but it’ll be coming to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia.

Inspired by both the comic book series and the feature film of the same name, this 360-era beat ’em up gained quite a bit of popularity, though it soon became lost to the passage of time (and new consoles). The Complete Edition looks to bring back the brawling just as it was, as well as packing in the Knives Chau and Wallace Wells DLC packs.

It seemed for a while like this re-launch be impossible to make happen; Scott Pilgrim author Bryan Lee had previously said he’d be surprised if Ubisoft made something happen, though in August earlier this year he cryptically tweeted tha the publisher had reached out.

With a new(-ish) Scott Pilgrim in the world, there’s something fun to look forward to at the start of the new year. You’ll be able to ring in the new year with Scott, Ramona, and the rest of the gang on Jan. 14, 2021, when the Complete Edition launches for PC, Xbox One, PS4, Stadia, and Switch.
