Last month, Verizon pushed an update to the Galaxy Watch4 whose release notes explicitly mentioned Google Assistant would be a new feature arriving to the wearable. It was then confirmed that the watch didn’t receive Assistant after all, and another Samsung exec stated that the Watch4 would receive Assistant “this summer”.
Well, it appears that summer is here early. Early morning on Tuesday, Samsung Mobile confirmed via a brief press release that the Galaxy Watch4 is officially supporting Google Assistant starting Tuesday May 24. Watch4 users will be able to download Google Assistant through the Watch4’s Play Store app.
