Realme is gearing up to introduce the Realme Pad X tomorrow, May 26. The device will arrive as the third tablet in Realme’s story, and will also be the most compelling one. Realme started its journey in the tablet market back the last year with the Realme Pad. The device was truly a starting step, playing safe with the budget segment. It brought a big screen and capable battery, but the processor was just a modest MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. This year, Realme unveiled the second tablet – the Realme Pad mini. The device brought a smaller display, and in terms of specifications, was placed even lower than the Realme Pad bringing a super-budget Unisoc chipset. Now, the Realme Pad X will arrive as the more appealing variant bringing the Snapdragon 870 SoC.
Realme Pad X specifications and features
It’s interesting to see that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 basically stands as the kind of the tablet segment. There are multiple brands launching tablets with this processor, in special, those under the BBK Electronics group. Following Realme, Oppo also launched a tablet this year, as well as Vivo. These two companies have tablets powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC. Yesterday, Oppo presented its second tablet dubbed Oppo Pad Air featuring a mid-range SoC and a slim profile. Now, it’s time for Realme to push forward the tablet segment.
As per the reports, the Realme Pad X will pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. Moreover, it will come in variants with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of Internal Storage, and 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of Internal Storage. The sole fact that Realme is preparing a 4 GB / 64 GB variant, tells us that the company is aiming at a lower pricing point.
The device has a beautiful style that resembles the Realme GT series, in special, the Realme GT Neo 2 with a green colorway. The device will be super slim with 7.1 mm thickness and will appeal to styles with various cases for protection.
Thanks to the listing on the company’s site and JD.com, we have some information on the device. It will bring a massive 11-inch screen that can sense 4,096 levels of pressure. There will be support for a stylus that can be tilted as much as 60 degrees. According to past leaks, the display will come with a 2K resolution. The device will come in three colorways – Gray, Blue, and Green. As we mentioned before, the green option is special and comes with a strip on the back. It resembles a waving checkered flag.
