A new Daredevil series was announced for Disney Plus back in May to bring the Man Without Fear into the Marvel family. Now, popular insider MyTimeToShineHello has shared that Jessica Jones is going to return to the show. She also added that the new Daredevil series will be both a reboot and continuation or in other words, a soft reboot.

The duo of Matt Corman and Chris Ord, who previously worked on Covert Affairs, are writing and executive producing the series. Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofiro’s Kingpin are already established in the MCU after they both made their debut on Netflix’s Marvel Universe. Murdock appeared in a cameo on Spider-Man: No Way Home too, and D’Onofrio has reprised his villain role in Hawkeye on Disney Plus.
Before the announcement of the Daredevil series, fans had speculated that Murdock and Kingpin would make cameo appearances in other shows like She-Hulk or Echo, which actually has a connection to Kingpin. A leak earlier had come out suggesting that Daredevil and Kingpin would face off each other in Echo.
Apart from Daredevil, Jessica Jones was also removed by Netflix along with other series based on The Defenders like Luke Cage and Iron Fist. They were later added to Disney Plus’ catalogue, without any censorship whatsoever.
Cox and Krysten Ritter had some of the best on-screen chemistries from The Defenders so fans should be excited to see the two share the screen together in the Marvel Cinematic Univers.
