Pac-Man is back! The latest Nintendo Direct revealed that Pac-Man is back in PAC-MAN World Re-PAC.
What is PAC-MAN WORLD Re-Pac?
PAC-MAN World Re-PAC is a remake of Pac-Man World and is coming 26th August this year. The game will involve platforming sections, go-karting sections and on-rails top-down shooting gameplay. The original Pac-Man World was released back in 1999 and features six different worlds with five different stages in each world. It saw a release on the original PlayStation and then a remake later on the Game Boy Advance. It was also re-released for the PlayStation Network in 2013, and now the remake is coming next month.
An Interesting Trend
This follows a trend of platformers from the same era being released, with the Mega-Man Battle Network legacy collection revealed in the same direct and previous releases being games such as the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Crash Bandicoot N-Sane trilogy, Klonoa and others we’re probably forgetting to mention here. It’ll be interesting to see if we also get remakes of other PAC-MAN games, or if they’re entirely reliant on this one doing well.
