It took a while but, at last, an official Overwatch 2 release date has been announced. The new game is set for launch on October 4th, however, if you can’t wait that long, fear not, a second Beta has gone live today (June 16th) and you could get early access to it come June 28th.
What are the Overwatch 2 Beta dates?
There are a couple of Overwatch 2 dates to concern yourself with, the most important being June 16th. This is the official signup date for the second run of the Overwatch 2 Beta.
You can head directly over to the Overwatch 2 Beta Xbox page to signup now – with PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
If you aren’t lucky enough to be selected for the first launch of Beta codes, fear not, more players will be added on July 5th – with all lucky participants given access by July 14th.
When will I be able to play the Overwatch 2 Beta?
If you are lucky enough to be selected for the closed beta, you’ll be able to play the game on June 28th. As mentioned above, users will also have a second chance to play the game with more Beta players added come July 5th.
All Beta players will be able to play the game on July 14th – according to sources.
What is the Overwatch 2 Watchpoint Pack?
While Overwatch 2 will be a free-to-play title, Blizzard are luring into fans of the franchise with a Watchpoint Pack – offering up a bunch of bonuses, skins, and a Legendary Edition of the original title.
The new Overwatch 2 Watchpoint pack will set you back a cool $39.99 if you plan to buy it – almost the entire cost of a game itself.
