Waking up at 4 am we’d hoped to have heard some news on the upcoming RTX 40 series. However, Nvidia’s Computex 2022 lacked any information on consumer graphic cards. So we still have to hold on to our hopes for any official news on the upcoming cards. We’ll have to satisfy ourselves with the crumbs of leaks and rumors.
However, in its gaming announcements, it has outlined some upcoming features and products. With many games gaining ray tracing and DLSS support, some games gaining reflex and new G-Sync monitors and laptops. We’ll go into more details on what that entails we’ll highlight below but there were also lots of server and AI-based products and news in the first half.
Nvidia GeForce Computex 2022 news
To start off the more interesting part of the keynote Jeff Fisher highlighted the Ampere architecture. Claiming it’s the best in the world and going over the specifications, nearly two years after release. After that filler, we get more news from developers on working with Nvidia to get day zero drivers and them working from the get-go for us and them.
In actual new GeForce news, 12 more games are adding DLSS to their lineup with some of them also adding ray tracing support. Whilst Nvidia also points out the reflex increases the average hits for both highly skilled and low skilled players by 2 and 2.5 times respectively. Which is also being introduced to four new titles.
- Hitman 3 – DLSS and RT (May 24th)
- F1 2022 – DLSS and RT (launch July 1st)
- Deep Rock Galactic – DLSS and DLAA (now)
- Loopmancer – DLSS and RT (Summer)
- Warstride Challenges – DLSS and Reflex (now)
- LEAP – DLSS (June 1st)
- Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong – DLSS (now)
- Raji: An Ancient Epic – DLSS and RT (May 25th)
- Turbo SLoths – DLSS and RT (Summer on launch)
- Propnight – DLSS (May 24th)
- Hydroneer – DLSS (now)

- ICARUS – Reflex (soon)
- My time at Sandrock – Reflex (May 26th)

Another announcement was for the new Geforce RTX Gaming and Studio laptops. Featuring RTX 3080 Ti, 3080, and 3070 Ti laptop GPUs. With initial offering announcements from MSI, Gigabyte, ASUS ROG, ASUS, ACER, and Lenovo. With more on the way further down the line.
Nvidia has also unveiled the first next-gen 500 Hz Esports and reflex gaming monitors. Aiming to further push and improve gaming experiences the monitor is certainly a big jump in specs. Although it only features a 1080p TN panel so if you were hoping for more you may have to wait for better connections like DP 2.0 for better bandwidth.
There are also some improvements to the Omniverse offering. With better compatibility across different programs to help better collaboration.
Non-gaming news
In other server and enterprise solutions, there were also some brief developments. There was news on the adoption of the Grace CPU architectures by Taiwan’s Tech Titans. It enables AI, high-performance computing, cloud graphics, and gaming. With Nvlink chip to chip and switches, it allows up to 256 GPUs interconnected for best performance.
Nvidia also announced liquid-cooled GPUs for sustainable and efficient cooling. For its A100 PCIe GPUs aimed to further improve energy efficiency and greenness of servers. As well as announcing Jetson servers for edge AI and robotics.
