My Time at Sandrock – How to Get Tin Ore

Last Updated:

As you progress through My Time in Sandrock, bronze bars become vital to expanding your workshop, crafting better tools, and fulfilling commissions. To smelt them in the furnace, you’ll need copper and tin ore. While you can obtain copper ore relatively easily, tin ore is harder to find in My Time at Sandrock, especially in the early game.

Here’s everything you need to know about getting tin ore in My Time at Sandrock Early Access.

Quarrying for Tin Ore at the Abandoned Ruins

The most efficient way to find tin ore in My Time at Sandrock is quarrying in the Abandoned ruins below Eufaula Salvage. To access the Ruins, you’ll need to have completed the Crane Commission during the Picking Up the Slack main quest.

Ride the crane down and Enter the Abandoned Ruins. Each visit to the Ruins cost 10 Gols. We recommend visiting first thing in the morning when your stamina is topped up. Stocking up on stamina-regenerating items and food to extend your time in the Ruins is highly recommended as mining chews through your stamina.

Once inside, make your way to Level 3 or below, where tin ore nodes start to spawn randomly on top of the dirt and debris. You’ll recognize them for their silver sheen and crystal-like appearance. Depending on the node’s size, each nets you anywhere from 3 to 8 tin ore.

As you descend deeper into the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins, tin ore becomes more common, providing a steady source to match your expanding crafting and construction needs.

Where to Buy Tin Ore in My Time at Sandrock

You can buy tin ore from Rocky at the Eufaula Salvage Shop for roughly 8 Gols each. The price fluctuates up and down by a few Gols, depending on the day.

The store sells a maximum of 30 tin ore at one time and restocks at a rate of roughly 10 per day. You can access the shop by interacting with the cash register inside the Eufaula Salvage building. It’s located to the left of the gate leading into the yard.

That covers how to find tin ore in My Time at Sandrock. Need help keeping your workshop topped up with water? Can’t find old parts? Fancy a horse to get around quicker? Be sure to check out our other guides to My Time at Sandrock.
