My Time at Sandrock – How to Get Rubber

Though not vital in My Time at Sandrock’s early game, establishing a steady source of Rubber will allow you to craft various items key to progressing the game later on. 

In particular, the demand for Rubber Shells and Rubber tubes surges along with the complexity of commissions. The R-47 Mobile Suit, Yakmel Station, and the Hydrogel Door – all these late-game commissions require Rubber in some form.

To obtain Rubber, you’ll need to process rubber scrap. You’ll find everything you need to know about gathering this raw material and turning it into Rubber below.

Where to Harvest Rubber Junk Piles in My Time at Sandrock

In My Time at Sandrock, you can obtain Rubber by processing Rubber Scrap in the recycler. You can collect Rubber scrap by mining Rubber Junk Piles. Note that you’ll need a bronze pickhammer to harvest them.

Though junk piles are dotted around the map, we recommend several Rubber Scrap farming spots that tend to re-spawn within a day or two. Note that you’ll need a bronze pickhammer to harvest them.

• Left of the Paradise Lost ruins gate. Follow the fence until you reach the sandfishing spot to find two to three Rubber Junk Piles.
• Two Rubber Junk Piles spawn to the back-right of the Eufaula Salvage yard near the fence. Keep in mind you’ll need to pay out 200 Gols per week to access the yard. The spawn rate here is erratic – anywhere from a day to three days.
• West Eufaula Desert. Head left out of the workshop until you reach the canyon edge to the left of the bridge. You’ll find two to three Rubber Junk Piles next to a large flat rock peeking out from the ground.

Mixed Junk Piles also have a chance of dropping Rubber Scrap, so harvest these as you come across them, especially in the Eufaula Salvage yard. Rubber junk piles also have a slight chance of dropping fully processed Rubber instead of scrap.

Rubber Scrap From Eufaula Salvage Contracts

You can also combine a daily scrap run with Eufaula Salvage contracts, though these aren’t available until you progress My Time at Sandrock’s story beyond the Keep On Rockin’ quest.

Head to the Eufaula Salvage building and interact with the ‘Contract’ book on Rocky’s desk to set up a commission for 2351 Gols. 

Rocky will deliver the requested materials/scrap toyour mailbox daily until the start of the following year. After purchasing a contract, you can alter the supply list to increase the number of Deluxe Scrap pieces (which include Rubber Scrap). You can also pay for an upgrade, which increases your overall supply to get even more Rubber Scrap per delivery.

The Gols cost is high, but having a daily delivery guaranteed to include three Rubber Scrap is well worth it as your My Time at Sandrock playthrough progresses.

How to Process Rubber Scrap into Rubber

With your haul of Rubber Scrap in hand, load them into the recycler at the workshop (crafting a recycler is among the first quests in My Time at Sandrock, so we’ll assume you have one set up and running). 

Each Rubber Scrap has a ‘Guaranteed’ chance of dropping Rubber for a consistent one-to-one scrap-to-Rubber ratio. It takes two hours for the recycler to process a single Rubber Scrap.

To maximize efficiency and create a steady flow of Rubber, we recommend at least two recyclers. Topped-up recyclers will churn out 12 Rubber per day, per machine, which should be enough to cover most of your Rubber needs.
