Are MW2 Servers Still Up?

Activision-Blizzard doesn’t tend to have the best luck when it comes to online multiplayer launches. Overwatch 2 launched amid much controversy and was immediately DDOSed twice, and was then bombarded with massive queues and server issues. But are the MW2 servers down?

Are The MW2 Servers Down?
As of the time of writing this article, the MW2 servers aren’t down, but this could change at basically the drop of a hat, especially given the way that Activision-Blizzard doesn’t have a handle on their servers.

It’s actually rather impressive that with the massive worldwide launch the servers haven’t just stopped working for a while, but that also leads to much concern that the servers WILL go down soon.
How Do You Check If The Servers Are Down?
If you go over to Activision’s Online Services page you can choose from a selection of games, which will then allow you to find out if the servers are down on the following platforms:
- PSN
- Xbox Live
- Battle.Net
- Steam
- Epic Games

If it isn’t down then it’s likely there’s an issue with your internet connection, so it’s worth turning it on and off again or alternatively restarting your entire game to try again.
