It seems like Phil Spencer is in his playful mood, as the Xbox chief teased the long-rumored Project Keystone for the first time ever.
The tease comes in the form of an image, which features the well-hidden white device in question on Spencer’s shelf alongside the Vault Boy statue, and it was released online in a tweet as part of Fallout’s 25-year anniversary.
Project Keystone was confirmed to be in the works at Xbox earlier this year by Microsoft, and it revolves around the development of a game streaming device that will harness the capabilities of Xbox Cloud Gaming.
After Spencer’s tweet spread like wildfire, Xbox issued a statement to Digital Trends, with the company confirming that the device indeed was an old prototype of Project Keystone.
In other news, as part of Xbox’s attempts to receive approval for its acquisition of Activision Blizzard, several documents regarding the working of its various subsidiaries have surfaced online.
This includes details about Xbox Game Pass, which has reportedly earned $2.9 billion from consoles in 2021, as seen in documents obtained by Tweaktown. The earning data was shared by Xbox to Brazilian regulators in the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), following which it received the green light on Wednesday.
