Marvel Studios is going to make an appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con this year, and fans are expecting the studio to make some announcements regarding the upcoming Phase 5. While we all know what’s coming in Phase 4, fans are more excited to know about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Characters such as Sam Wilson’s Captain America, Blade, and the Fantastic Four are expected to be featured in the next phase.
Apart from these characters, there have been a lot of talks over the past few weeks about the supervillain Doctor Doom. There are reports which suggest that Marvel Studios will announce a Doctor Doom project at SDCC.
There has also been a “leaked” picture of Doctor Doom circulating around the internet, supposedly a screencap from an upcoming MCU film.
Recently, Howard Stern revealed on his The Howard Stern Show that he is going to be part of this Doctor Doom project. He even said that he called Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. and asked him for some acting tips. Stern also mentioned that he wanted to speak to Jon. He could be referring to Jon Favreau or Jon Watts for all we know.
Doctor Doom is one of the most important characters in the Marvel universe and is considered one of the greatest villains to come out of the franchise. There is no information on how he will be introduced to the MCU. If Marvel Studios really is working on a Doctor Doom project right now, it’s highly likely that they could announce it at SDCC.
