Madden 23: MUT Week 4 TOTW Predictions

At 10:30AM ET tomorrow, Madden 23 will reveal its latest round of Team Of The Week (TOTW) players that fans will be able to add to their collections. Of all the big weekly announcements that MUT makes regarding its various card programs, TOTW is arguably the biggest of them all and unsurprisingly so.

Releasing ten new players every Tuesday, MUT provides an enticing variety of offensive and defensive standouts that fans can acquire. Upon revealing their newest Player Of The Week and Limited Edition (LTD) later this evening, MUT will announce the two Low Elites, High Elites, Heroes, and Champions of their Week 4 TOTW tomorrow on their Twitch live stream known as, ‘Good Morning Madden’.

Several NFL players delivered some remarkable performances. But of all the players that rose to the occasion from Week 4, which will be featured on the latest drop of TOTW players in MUT?

Here’s a look at our predictions for the Madden 23 Week 4 TOTW.

Player Of The Week (91 Overall)

Yesterday, MUT teased the idea on Twitter that Los Angeles Chargers HB Austin Ekeler could be on the Week 4 TOTW, similarly to what they did with Roquan Smith of the Chicago Bears last week.

Though Smith ended up not making the Week 3 TOTW, I think Ekeler will, and potentially as Madden 23’s Player Of The Week. For starters, Ekeler posted 109 total yards from scrimmage to go with three total touchdowns in the Chargers victory against the Houston Texans.

Moreover, Ekeler had a slow start to the season, especially over the last two games that the Chargers lost. So for him to breakout the way he did, was not only huge for him, but also for his team that was hungry for a big win.

Limited Edition (91 Overall)

The LTD for Week 4 should be Tom Brady. Despite the Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffering a rough 41-31 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Brady has continued to show how dangerous he is at age 45.

Last night, Brady completed 75% of his passes (on 52 attempts) for 385 passing yards to go with three touchdowns and no interceptions. The man is the G.O.A.T. for a reason and there’s no way Madden should make him lower than a 91 overall for any TOTW drop he’s apart of.

Madden 23: Week 4 TOTW Predictions

Champions (91 Overall)

As for the Champions, Madden 23 always selects two players that had sensational Week 4 performances in previous NFL seasons. Because there are well over 50 seasons jam-packed with big NFL Week 4 performances, it’s frankly near impossible to predict which players they end up selecting. As a result, this is the only section of the Week 4 TOTW that won’t receive a prediction.

Heroes (88 Overall)

1. T.J. Hockenson (TE) – Lions
   T.J. Hockenson was a beast yesterday and produced a franchise-setting record in the Detroit Lions loss to the Seattle Seahawks. On 12 targets, Hockenson reeled in eight receptions for 179 yards and two touchdowns. For tight ends in specific, this is quite rare to come by and Hockenson should at least be a Hero if not the Player Of The Week.

2. Jordan Poyer (SS) – Bills
   The Buffalo Bills were down 20-3 to the Baltimore Ravens prior to halftime. Yet somehow, the Bills pulled off a miraculous comeback win over the Ravens, defeating them 23-20. And a significant key of their successful comeback, was strong safety Jordan Poyer.

   Poyer had six combined tackles to go with three passes defended and two interceptions, one of which came on a 4th-and-Goal play late in the fourth quarter. Talk about being a hero, Poyer’s second interception saved the Bills, and as a result, Poyer should be on the Hero list.

High Elites (85 Overall)

1. Rashan Gary (LOLB) – Packers
   In their 27-24 overtime win against the New England Patriots, Gary had seven combined tackles, a forced fumble, fumble recovery, and two sacks. If you ask me, that’s High Elite worthy.

2. Josh Jacobs (HB) – Raiders
   The Las Vegas Raiders were the only team remaining that was 0-3. Well, Jacobs sought to change that and did so by delivering a big game for the Raiders en route to their 32-23 win over the Denver Broncos. Jacobs rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries.

Low Elites (82 Overall)

1. Lamarcus Joyner (FS) – Jets
   After enduring a tough loss at home against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3, the Jets were in itching to get back to their winning ways and secured a crucial victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-20. An influential part of their success, came from Joyner, who recorded six combined tackles, four passes defended, and two interceptions. He’s earned himself at least a Low Elite selection following that kind of a performance.

2. Jared Goff (QB) – Lions
   Goff didn’t come away with the win for the Detroit Lions. But he sure gave his all in what was a tremendous performance. On 39 pass attempts, Goff threw for 378 yards, four touchdowns, and only one interception. Though they came up short to the Seahawks 48-45, Goff is definitely a worthy Low Elite candidate.

What is TOTW?

Team Of The Week (TOTW) is a MUT program that releases 10 new players that had special performances within the game week that the NFL just completed.

When does Madden 23 release the TOTW players in the game?

The TOTW players are added into the game every Tuesday at 4PM ET.

How come the Champions don’t consist of players from the present day NFL?

The TOTW Champions always consist of two players (former or current) that had special performances in previous seasons during Week 4. So last week, for example, Dwight Freeney and Antonio Gates were selected as the Champions.
