Horizon: Call Of The Mountain has finally got a new look. The game was shown off during today’s State of Play for the first time since it was initially revealed.
The trailer appeared during the State of Play on June 1st. featuring VR footage of the character fighting off robots using a bow and arrow, which the player had to control, along with climbing mountains. It also gives you a new first-person look at the metal monsters and the fun you can expect from the monsters. It looks like it is an interesting take on the series, especially with the new VR technology on its way. Other than that, it very much looked like a horizon game, which is good.
What is the game?
Horizon: Call Of The Mountain was revealed during CES 2022, and is developed by both Guerrilla Games and Firesprite. It’s a VR spin-off that will allow you to meet Aloy and other members of the Horizon series character roster. It’s releasing on PlayStation 5 for the PSVR 2 and according to the official website:
“A brand-new Horizon adventure currently in development at Guerrilla and Firesprite for PlayStation VR2, this unique experience has been designed to push hardware technology, innovation and gameplay. The stunning visuals and brand-new PS VR2 Sense controllers give a new meaning to being full immersed into the world of Horizon. The story will be told through the eyes of an entirely new character, while you will also meet Aloy, other familiar faces, and new characters along the way.”
Note, there is also some new DLC update coming to Horizon Forbidden West too. So, it is a good time for fans of the series as there is new VR content and main series content on its way. Sadly, we do not seem to have a release date for the VR version yet, so there’s still more to come.
