The Google Pixel tablet was announced at Google’s annual keynote event (Google I/O 2022) revealing the tablet, with a planned release date of 2023.
This, along with the Google Pixel 7 series phones and Google Pixel watch, completes the entire ecosystem.
The Google Slate was a bit underwhelming back in 2018, however, the company has come on tenfold with their handheld devices since.
We are going to run through everything we know so far about the Google Pixel tablet but the takeaway from the keynote was – it is on its way in 2023 and it will work seamlessly with the Google Pixel 7 series and google Pixel watch.
Next on Google’s rather large agenda is the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro release this autumn.
Beyond that, we know the Pixel watch is on the horizon and could release at a similar time as the phone.
Despite this, the Google Pixel tablet release date is in 2023.
There is a chance we won’t see Google’s latest tablet until Q4 of 2023, with more information possible coming at their next event near the start of 2023.
You cannot pre order the Google Pixel tablet just yet, in fact, you can’t even pre order the Pixel 7 phones yet either.

As it was just a small teaser at the event, we have no way of knowing how premium the Goggle Pixel tablet is, so guessing its price is a tough ask.
The tablet will be directly competing with Apple’s 10th generation of iPads, and possibly Microsoft’s unannounced Surface pro 9.
We already know how good the value of the Pixel phones is, so will the tablet follow suit?
We hope so, it would be good to get a high-performing device, possibly with 2-in-1 functionality at a more affordable price point.

The Pixel tablet completes the “smart device trifecta” and will work seamlessly with other Google devices of its generation.
The Tablet will feature Google’s latest Tensor technology and should offer reasonable value for money.
We would love to see the Google Pixel tablet not only support a stylus but come with one too!
Camera enhancements are almost a guarantee, so we would expect to see the same 50mp camera as the Pixel 6 phone, at the very least.
It probably would be worth including 4K recording but this all depends on the specifications of the tablet.
If we get a large surface to play with, a higher resolution may look and feel superb.
We would also love to see a minimum refresh rate of 120HZ with the new display but we wait and hope for more information.
We got a brief look at the design during Google’s keynote.
We were shown the Pixel tablet for every angle and it certainly looked a lot sleeker than the previous Slate.
We found it odd that the Google Pixel tablet has bezels, thick bezels at that.
All the competitors have thin bezels, which is a design choice we prefer.
Apple, Samsung, and Microsoft are producing impeccably designed tablets, so why the thick bezels?
Well, many are starting to wonder if this suggests the device will connect to accessories such as a keyboard or a smart display.
While we have no idea what color options the Pixel tablet will come in, we think it may share similar options as the Pixel 7 phones.
The tablet could be available in: Obsidian, Snow, Hazel, and Lemongrass.
