Forspoken Release Date & Details

Forspoken is coming next year, after several delays! It might have taken a while, but the Forspoken Release Date is coming.

What Is the Forspoken Release Date?

Forspoken is currently scheduled to launch on January 24th, 2023. This follows several delays, with the game originally planned to be released on May 24th, 2022, then on October 11th, 2022.

Hopefully, this is the final release date for the game, though it’s always possible that the game gets delayed further along the line. The previous delays were so that the developers could polish the title as much as possible and make sure it felt good to play, and a delay is always preferable to a broken game at the end of the day.

At Gamescom 2022 though we saw a new look at gameplay from the title, which you can see below:

What Is Forspoken?

Forspoken is an action-adventure RPG set in a world called Athia. You play Frey Holland, a woman from modern New York City, who must find a way to survive in this new world by using newfound magical powers.

She’s got a whole host of powers on her side that will make her quest easier, with creatures attacking her from every single angle while you’re exploring the vast open world. There are various different bosses to face in the open world along with your standard enemies, so combat will always feel different and fresh. Within the next few months, we’ll probably be getting a lot of new gameplay for the game as the massive marketing machine that is Square Enix hypes itself up for the release of Forspoken.
