Feelworld launches new 125W and 225W daylight and bi-colour LED spots

Feelworld has announced its first LED spots. Kicking off the range are four COB LED spotlights, the FL125D, FL125B, FL225D and FL225B. The “D” models are daylight-only while the “B” models are bi-colour with a temperature range of 2,700K up to 6,500K. The FL125 models are 150W while the FL225 models are 250″ and all boast a CRI of 96+ and TLCI of 97+. Naturally, all four models take Bowens mount modifiers.

It’s interesting, although not entirely unexpected, to see Feelworld branching out into lighting systems. It seems that everyone’s doing it at the moment now that they’ve all gotten new tiny wireless microphone systems out of the way. It will be interesting to see how well these stand in an already quite flooded market.

Feelworld has released videos for all four models that are largely the same. Same clips, different specs. I’ve only posted the FL225B video above but you get the idea. It appears that the four new lights are AC-powered, meaning it will be difficult if you want to take these out on location and away from the studio.

Each unit has a 2″ display on the back and two adjustment knobs to let you access everything. But you’re not limited to physical controls on each of the lights. They can also all be controlled remotely over Bluetooth using the Feelworld Light app for iOS or Android.

Each of the lights includes 10 built-in lighting effects including paparazzi, fireworks, lighting, fault bulb, TV, breath, flash, party, flame, and music. And when it comes to light intensity, Feelworld provides some readings, with the bi-colour lights set to 5600K and with the included Bowens mount reflector attached. All readings were at a distance of 1 metre.

All four lights are available to pre-order now with the Feelworld FL125D, FL125B, FL225D and FL225B priced at $199.99, $239.99, $309.99 and $349.99 respectively. That’s on par with most of the competition, although in an already flooded market, I’m not sure what the new options from Feelworld really bring to the table. It seems more of the same, really.
