Here’s the scoop of Zombies Mode in MW2.

Zombies is an insanely popular game mode in COD, so many players have asked, “does Modern Warfare 2 have zombies?”
Historically, zombie modes have alternated between versions of the game. That said, in recent years, it’s become more common to see each title with a zombie mode included.

With such a popular mode on the table, it’s not a shock that so many people are wondering about MW2 and zombie mode.

Does Modern Warfare 2 have Zombies?
Unfortunately, Infinity Ward confirmed that Zombie Mode does not feature in Modern Warfare 2. Despite fans hoping it would be back, those hopes have been dashed.
Many fans were disappointed by the past few iterations of Zombie Mode. While they did do exciting things for the games’ canon, mechanically, fans considered them sub-par entries in the series.
There was a lot of hope that Modern Warfare 2 would be the game to bring Zombies Mode back to its past glory. Now it seems like we’ll be waiting until the following entry for any such improvement. Assuming that there are no plans to bring the mode with future updates.
There’s a slim chance that when Infinity Ward updates the game with new Spec Ops missions, they’ll decide to bring Zombies Mode into the game properly. That said, we wouldn’t hold our breath if we were you. The devs will probably focus primarily on delivering a decent multiplayer mode and update to Warzone over adding zombie mode to MW2.
Why Are there no Zombies in Modern Warfare 2?
While zombies being missing from MW2 was confirmed, it was not revealed exactly why the mode would be missing. We can, however, speculate a little based on the information at hand.
At the recent COD Next event, Activision provided details on the new game modes and features. It seems relatively clear that the focus has been on improving multiplayer and adding some new modes, and on improvements to Warzone.
There’s also the fact that the mode hasn’t been too well received in recent years. Activision probably wanted to give the mode the attention it needed, which wasn’t available during the development of MW 2.
Is Zombies Mode Replaced with Anything?
While it might be sad to say goodbye to Zombies Mode for MW2, we have some new modes to play with.
Ground War is getting upgraded, with the new Invasion Mode taking deathmatches to a place they’ve never been before. We also know that the Spec Ops missions will feature in the game again.
There will also be new additions to Warzone to look out for with the long-awaited Warzone 2.0 update. This new version adds a new map and a bunch of new features to the game for the first time.
