The error originated with Modern Warfare in 2019 and comes up whenever the multiplayer map data hasn’t been fully downloaded or has been downloaded with an error.

If you want to fix Dev Error 6036 then you’ll need to validate your game files and verify your installation.

You’ll also need to make sure that your game is updated to the latest build of Modern Warfare 2, to make sure you have all the files that you need.

The reason for this error is probably that Battle.Net hasn’t fully downloaded the game, or indeed your console hasn’t fully downloaded the game yet. Let the game install without any interruptions and it should work a charm, without any issues whatsoever.
