The Black Friday monitor sales are kicking off, meaning that some of the best monitors for PS5 have just become a whole lot more affordable.

That’s a big deal, as you’ll need a couple premium features to get the most out of your PS5.

First off, you’ll need it to be HDMI 2.1 compatible – this allows for 4K/ 120fps gaming. You’ll also want it to be HDR if possible, as this does significantly improve the visuals in relation to brightness, contrast and colour.

You can go for some of the best 1080p monitors or 1440p monitors, but we wouldn’t recommend it to get the most out of your console. Aim for 4K to really experience next-gen graphics in all their glory!

We’ve rounded up what we think are some of the best Black Friday PS5 monitor deals currently running, and be prepared…there’s up to $700 off at the time of writing!

Let’s get into it.

Best Black Friday PS5 monitor deals

Our top 5 deals are below and they cover a few different use-cases. You can go absolutely massive with the LG 48GQ900, which comes in at a whopping 48 inches, or opt for something more mid-size with the Gigabyte M32U.

For a quality all-rounder that’s featured on our best HDMI 2.1 monitor list, we’d say go for the display from Asus TUF Gaming. It’s a popular choice, and with good reason.

For a more budget option, the Acer Nitro is currently $300 off and well worth considering if you want to save some cash for other purchased this year.

What type of monitor is best for PS5?

We go into this more when we selected the best monitors for PS5, but put simply, something that’s 4K, 144hz, has HDR, and either FreeSync or Gsync. You’ll also want response times to be low. We’d recommend under 0.4s in general.

You can go for one of the best OLED monitors too, which will offer stunning visuals.

Does a PS5 work better on a monitor?

In many ways, yes. This is because monitors are designed for extremely low-latency, higher refresh rates, and lower response times than most TVs. There are some alternatives, such as the LG C1 and C2 series that work great with PS5, but on the whole a monitor will be more optimal for gaming.
