Will Celtic Park & Ibrox feature in FIFA 23?

Last Updated:

The Scottish Premiership has featured in FIFA for some time but we have yet to see a single Stadium come to the game. Nothing pleases football fans more than seeing their team run out, digitally of course, to an electrifying atmosphere. In case you were unaware, Celtic and Rangers are the two biggest clubs in Scotland both sharing a rich history and unrivaled domestic dominance. Furthermore, Celtic was known all over the world for their European Cup exploits of the 60s and more recent, unprecedented, Quadruple Treble. On the other hand, Rangers recently had a fantastic Europa League run, so isn’t it about time we saw two of the biggest stages in the UK come to FIFA 23?

Unfortunately, it isn’t that simple. As you probably know, it is all about licensing, with both stadiums featured in PES 2021/ eFootball by Konami.

Celtic Park in PES:

Ibrox Stadium in PES:

Ideally, we would see all Scottish stadiums added to FIFA 23 but based on the history of the AAA game, it doesn’t look great. You never know, and in the future, if the FIFA governing body decides to make their own game with third-party developers, they may include all leagues, clubs, and stadiums that reside under FIFA.

Celtic Park and Ibrox being added to FIFA 23 is a no-brainer. FIFA 22 featured 100 stadiums and if the recent leaks are correct, FIFA 23 is going to have even more. While it doesn’t necessarily mean we will get two of the greatest stadiums in world football, it gives us hope. Would also to see the likes of Tynecastle, Easter Road, Hampden, Pittodrie, or even Dens Park/ Tannadice for those ariel shots of how close they are. Anyway, we live and hope.
