Free apps for Android & iOS: These Pro versions are currently free

Right now there are 21 free apps for Android and iOS that you can download and install! Depending on your operating system, you can install a colorful bunch of apps for the weekend and put them through their paces. You should hurry up though because most of the free downloads are only available for a few days.

The free content in Google Play Store and the Apple App Store experiences drops in price as part of a promotion. This allows developers to push their apps up the leaderboards, for example, or simply generate new users. For you, it’s a way to get ad-free apps or premium content without having to fork out a single penny.

If you want to search for free content yourself, check out Antoine’s guide to finding and installing free apps safely.

Tip: Don’t have enough free memory on your smartphone? You can either clean up your smartphone, or you can install the free apps and uninstall them right away. This way, you can download them again for free in the future, since they are part of your purchased apps library.

Free apps and mobile games in the Google Play Store

Free apps for your Android phone

  • Notes ($3.99)The name gives you an idea of what the app does, doesn’t it? We also took a look at the Notes app in a separate article and are thrilled with its ease of use and feature set.
  • Deals Tracker Pro for Ebay ($3.99) [Ends Saturday!]: App that helps you track defined searches and notifies you when the new results come in.

Free Android mobile games

  • Bricks Breaker Pro ($3.99): One of those almost legendary casual games where you perfectly forget about time.
  • Dungeon999 ($0.99): The title gives us the gist: You fight with your hero through a dungeon with 999 rooms. In addition, we are promised a lot of bad jokes on 90s sitcom. Sounds great, doesn’t it?
  • Cartoon999 (VIP) ($0.99): Cartoon999 is from the same developer as the game above. I’m curious to see how many levels this one has. By the way, this time you are an underpaid cartoonist who wants to take over the world in revenge for the crappy paying cartoons. Seems legit!
  • Castle Defender Premium ($0.99): This tower defense game offers you more than 250 levels! It’s definitely worth picking up, isn’t it?
  • WindWings: Space shooter, Galaxy attack (Premium) ($1.99): Classic and well reviewed shoot ’em up, where you have to shoot brainless enemies in space.
  • 2048 – Puzzle Game ($2.49): No need to explain the rules of this puzzle game to anyone, right?
  • Sudoku Pro ($2.99): And yes, I’m sure we all know the Sudoku rules too.

Temporarily free iOS apps in the Apple App Store

Free apps for your iPhone

  • Waay – Learn Music Theory ($9.99): This app lets you learn music theory from scratch. There are several courses that teach you melodies, chords and progressions.
  • iGavolt ($0.99): Now that’s a weird app idea! Quasi the “grandma to go” for you. You get a soundboard, can include short voice memos from grandma and grandpa, can put beats under the quotes and get reminders to check in with your grandparents again.
  • Remote Touchpad and Keyboard ($1.99): This app lets you turn your iPhone or iPad into a mouse pad or handy keyboard for your Mac or Windows PC.
  • Calculator Easy HD ($0.99): A simple but beautifully designed calculator with an extra bold plus button, dark mode and voice output.
  • Sleep Sounds: relaxing sounds ($1.99): Here you will find relaxing sounds to chill out or fall asleep to. Listen to forest, thunderstorm or rain sounds, or the sound of a music box or a subway.

Free iOS games in the Apple App Store

  • Neo-Monsters ($0.99): This Pokémon clone is once again available for free on the Apple App Store. You know the drill: “Catch ’em all” and all that.
  • Tank Battle – Mini War ($4.99): If you know NES Battle City, you know what we’re dealing with here – a simple tank battle game.
  • True Surf ($1.99): If you can’t surf, you can at least aspire to a virtual surfing career. At least you can with this game for iPhone. Hang Loose!
  • Peppa Pig: Party Time ($2.99): Do you want to conquer the hearts of your youngest? Nothing could be easier. Just present them with this Peppa Pig game.
  • World of Peppa Pig: Kids Games ($4.99): And yes, another game with Antoine’s favorite TV heroine.

Was there something for you this time? If not, the next slide will be available on Tuesday! By the way, it would be nice if you let us know if one of the apps becomes chargeable again in the meantime.
