You cannot change Diablo Immortal PC resolution, atleast not yet

Last Updated:

Diablo Immortal is out now, with full support for mobile gamers worldwide. PC players can also play the game too, however, the PC client is a little problematic. The feature is still in open beta, and you can see why. There is currently no support to chance PC resolution in Diablo Immortal, which is certainly a first.

In fact, there aren’t many modifications you can do to the quality of Diablo Immortal on PC. There are no PC resolution options in Diablo Immortal, and you can either have full screen, windowed, or full screen windowed (borderless). For those using an ultra-wide monitor, it means there is no support for your ultra-wide monitor or unique aspect ratio. It seems it only really calculates 16:9 on PC, and we think that’s at 720p, as most phones generally support 720p, 1080p and 1440p. If you compare the main menu on your phone to the one on the PC, the PC login certainly seems much more zoomed in, hence the 720p theory.

Blizzard stated when they announced that Diablo Immortal was coming to PC in April that the PC port is in open beta. There is still plenty of work to be done on the client. As it stands, Blizzard has released a known issues list for the game’s PC version. It does not mention a  resolution option s o that is probably something that comes later on in the PC development. However, we are going to get an option that changes the window size for those who opt to play in windowed mode. When that is, however, that remains to be seen.

So, if you’re bothered by the lack of the ability to change your PC resolution in Diablo Immortal, you’ll either have to wait for a fix or head over to mobile and get the more optimized experience for now.

On the other hand, the mobile version does support resolution change, which entirely depends on the mobile device you have. Tablets probably fair a better time as they have bigger screens. But, at least on our Sony Experia 5 II can toggle between small and medium resolution settings. Hopefully, it is not long before PC gets a similar treatment.
