Is Warzone Mobile Going to be Free?
Yes, the developers have confirmed Warzone Mobile is free. Activision made it pretty clear on the game’s official website. Much like its cousin, COD mobile, Warzone Mobile is going to be free-to-play, presumably with microtransactions to help support its development.
We also know that Warzone Mobile will connect with Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 in a big way. Cross progression is going to be available, allowing you to use your unlocks from your battle pass across COD in all of its various forms.
You’ll also be able to share your friend list and chat history from one game to the next, making it much easier to find your friends when you’re playing a different form of Call of Duty. You can also expect the same influx of special events and promotional deals that you’d fine in COD Mobile.
Will Warzone Mobile have Microtransactions?
Like many free-to-play titles, Warzone Mobile is going to need to be supported through microtransactions. These payments are usually for cosmetics that shouldn’t effect your gameplay too much, though they can have some impact.
Presmebly, Warzone Mobile will use the same premium currency as COD mobile does, namely: COD Points. You can redeem these coins to unlock special loot boxes which contain random cosmetics for you to use on your weapons and character.

With Warzone being a battle royale-style game, chances are that these skins will only be applied to guns you find in-game. You won’t start out with any equipment on you, so it’ll be a bit of a pot luck when it comes to finding a gun that you have a custom skin for.
